Kjell Tollefsen served in the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot for 16 years. During his ‘67 and ‘68 tour in Vietnam, he

flew 1,098 combat hours, was shot down three times and received the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Eileen M. Hurst is the founder and Director of the Veterans History Project at Central Connecticut State University. The Veterans History Project at CCSU has been an archived partner with the Library of Congress since 2005.
